The Early College Advisor recruits and mentors high school students on their early college path from the following locations:
Snowflake-Taylor, Show Low, Heber- Overgaard, and surrounding areas (subject to change based off need).
S/he provides academic advising to prospective and current students at their assigned high schools - regarding all academic programs, degree requirements, testing, transfer, and student activities.
S/he establishes a regular, visible presence at their assigned high schools.
S/he works to enhance high school programs with college educational programming - i.
e.
FAFSA nights, Scholarship nights, College Fairs/Tours.
The Early College Advisor is responsible for building a rapport with not only high school students, but also the high school principals, counselors, and teachers.
In other words, the Early College Advisor serves as the single point of contact for their assigned high schools.
Provides leadership support to the Director of Early College Programs and coordinates training for Early College Advisors.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
